The spot
A 17-meter glass high-heeled shoe in a seaside park at Budai on the Chiayi coast, built as a wedding venue and now a landmark. It stands in open flat ground near the sea, so at sunset it is a blue glass silhouette against an orange sky, and its reflection pool doubles it.
Budai’s salt fields and its fishing harbor are close by if you want a second stop; the shoe itself lights up after dark.
