The spot
A small working harbor on the north coast road between Tamsui and Sanzhi, facing west over the sea with nothing between the breakwater and the horizon. It is a modest place — a few boats, a sea wall — which is exactly why it is uncrowded at sunset compared with Fisherman’s Wharf down the road.
