The spot
Kaohsiung’s big fishing harbor at its northern edge, on the Qieding coast, with a seafood market, long breakwaters and a wide view west over the strait. Boats come in through the harbor mouth around sunset, and the breakwater is where people stand for it.
Pair it with the Qieding wetlands just inland, where black-faced spoonbills winter, or with dinner at the market.
