The spot

A fishing harbor on the Taoyuan coast with an arched pedestrian bridge over the harbor mouth, a seafood market and a bike path running north and south along the shore. From the bridge and the breakwater you look west over the strait and the sun sets straight into it, with the bridge lighting up in colors afterward. Zhuwei Fishing Harbor (see writeup here) is the same idea further north.

The Green Tunnel bike path south of the harbor is a nice hour before sunset if you have a bike.
